This harmonium is a high quality instrument. Whoever is looking for an instrument for accompanying singing groups or for playing together with other instruments, is well-advised to buy this instrument since it has an especially powerful sound.

The keyboard has 42 keys and thus supplies a tonal range of 3 1/2 octaves. 5 adjustable drones are possible. Double reeds make sure that every tone is supplied with two reeds (for medium and lower octave). Three registers ensure with different settings that very varied timbres can be achieved by blowing the reeds either separately or together. With a fourth register a tremolo sound can be produced. The existing possibility to use the coupler, allows you to activate the key of the respective lower octave with every keystroke, which leads to the result that up to 4 reeds are blown at the same time. The coupler thus gives the possibility, together with the double reeds, to produce a particularly powerful, voluminous sound. However it must also be considered that the more reeds are blown, the more air has to be supplied by the bellows, but the instrument has a large, long lasting bellows volume. Compared to the standard models of the same manufacturer it has substantially better mechanics and quality of workmanship.

If you want to use the Harmonium together with western instruments that have a fixed tuning, please let us know when ordering and inform us of the exact tuning pitch you require. We would like to point out that it can happen that this Harmonium, like some others of our instruments, is not tuned to the standard tuning pitch A with 440 Hertz, but a little higher to A 442 Hertz. The difference can in some cases also be somewhat bigger either up or down. When the instrument is being played together with other instruments problems might arise.
