HARMONIUM PREMIUM BY PALOMA
39 KEYS - DOUBLE REEDS- 4 BUILT-IN DRONE STOPS

A high quality Harmonium with full sound range. The keyboard has 39 keys and thus supplies a tonal range of 3 octaves. 4 adjustable drones are possible. If you want to have more drones, you can also make do with a piece of paper or a sharpened match (or half a clothes peg) stuck into the respective key or you can remove the self-adjusting springs on the back of the keys.Double reeds make sure that every tone is supplied with two reeds (for medium and lower octave). Three registers ensure with different settings that very varied timbres can be achieved by blowing the reeds either separately or together. Compared to the standard model of the same manufacturer this instrument has substantially better mechanics and quality of workmanship.

The international trademark "PALOMA" has been founded by the manufacturer Haribhau Vishwanath from Mumbai in India. The company was founded 1925 and had a continuous development in its history. A unique Paloma feature is the surface treatment: Instead of the usual glossy shellac polish all surfaces have been treated with wax in order to enhance the beauty of the natural wood veining. Wax finish is less prone to heat damages and makes it much easier to remove scratches and bruises, too.

If you want to use the Harmonium together with western instruments that have a fixed tuning, please let us know when ordering and inform us of the exact tuning pitch you require. We would like to point out that it can happen that this Harmonium, like some others of our instruments, is not tuned to the standard tuning pitch A with 440 Hertz, but a little higher to A 442 Hertz. The difference can in some cases also be somewhat bigger either up or down. When the instrument is being played together with other instruments, problems might arise.
