Sound
characteristics of the Tiger Gong
The
Tiger Gong produces, just like the Ban Gong, a long-lasting
keynote when it is struck only lightly. This gong
has, contrary to the Tiger Gong, a characteristic
downward sound when it is struck with a small hard
stick. Struck like that, it produces a high-pitched
note that descends down to the keynote which then
resonates for a while.
The
Tiger Gong is supplied with a simple standard stick.
